Trekking Activities in Rishikesh

If you want to appreciate the impressive mountain ranges of the Himalayas, undertake a trek. The sport of trekking brings you in close contact with the local people of the country. Trekking in Rishikesh gives you a wonderful opportunity to be in contact with the locals and appreciate the mountain environments. The Garhwal and Kumaon regions of the state of Uttarakhand have long been known for providing excellent opportunities of trekking. As you trek through and in Rishikesh, you can feast your eyes upon the snowy peaks of the Himalayas, get acquainted with the region's natural riches and enjoy heart-warming views of sunset. Passing through forested valleys, Hindu settlements, temple site and mountain village is an experience you will cherish all your life.

Your trek in Rishikesh will start from Thalisain and passing through Pauri. You will be taken to Kondolia, at a distance of 5 km from Thalisan, to soak up scenic sunsets. Lunch will be served en route. There will be programmes of sightseeing as well. Food will be fresh and served hot. The arrangement of dinner will be at the campsite, located overlooking the beaches on Ganga in Rishikesh. Options of beach volleyball are also available at the camp. To relax, you can spend around the bonfires and share stories with your close ones. Remember, trekking is not just an adventure sport but an addiction.

Day 1 - Drive start from Rishikesh to Joshimath 260 km. take 9 to 10 hours over night in hotel
Day 2 - Drive from Joshimath to Auli 15 km. 1 hours Auli to Tali 10 km. trek overnight in camp
Day 3 - Tali to Khulara 10 km. trek overnight in camp
Day 4 - Khulara to Kuwari pass 6 km. trek Kuwari to Dhakwani 5km. overnight in camp
Day 5 - Dhakwani to Paana 12 km. trek overnight in camp
Day 6 - Paana to Jhinji 10 km. trek overnight in camp
Day 7 - Jhinji to Ramni 12 km. trek overnight in camp
Day 8 - Ramni to Ghat 8 km. trek and drive to nandprayag 15 km. overnight in hotel
Day 9 - Drive back to rishikesh 8 hours

Day 7 - Return back to Bedni kund, overnight in Camp.

Best Season : May to October

Day 1 - New Delhi - Rishikesh Arrive at our office in New Delhi and After the necessary check in details, we get introduced to our tour leader. After that we then leave for Rishikesh, at our office in Rishikesh we check in our gear and things to carry. overnight in Rishikesh
Day 2 - Rishikesh - Joshimath On arrival transfer to midway for freshening up and then leave for Joshimath by car. On the way visit Rudra prayag where Mandakini and Alaknanda rivers meet. On arrival at Joshimath, check in hotel. Dinner & Night Halt.
Day 3 - Joshimath - Ghangaria Early morning we leave from Joshimath for Govindghat, which is the starting point for the trek. From Govindghat there is a gradual ascent along a well - maintained pilgrim trail to the camp at Ghangaria - the base from where day walks can be made into the valley of flowers. Arrange porters and prepare for the trek. After a light breakfast, 14 km trek up to Ghangaria. Dinner & Night halt at Camp. ( All meals at camp).
Day 4 - Ghangaria - Valley Of Flowers - Ghangria After breakfast 4 km trek to Valley Of Flowers (3858 m ) from Ghangaria. The valley is an enchanting sight with an impressive array of rare wildflowers like brahma kamal, fane Kamal with range of small multicolored flowers make it a delight for travelers. The snowclad peaks including Nilgiri Parbat (6474 m) stand in bold relief against the skyline. The valley is 10 kms long, 2 kms wide, and is divided by the Pushpawati stream, into which several tiny streams and waterfalls merge. After enjoying the beauty of valley we come back to Ghangaria. Dinner & Night halt at camp. ( Pack lunch and dinner ).
Day 5 - Ghangaria - Hemkundsahib - Ghangaria After breakfast 6 km trek to Hemkundsahib (4329 m) from Ghangaria. This is quite a steep climb. In the Sikh holy book, the Granth Sahib, the Sikh Guru Gobind Singh recounts that in a previous life, he meditated on the shores of a lake surrounded by seven snowcapped mountains now recognized by Hemkund. We visit Lake & Gurudwara. Again 6 km trek back to Ghangaria. Dinner & Night halt at camp. ( All meals )
Day 6 - Ghangaria - JoshimathAfter breakfast leave for Govindghat on the trek of 14 kms and reach govindghat be afternoon and drive back to Joshimath after that. check in hotel on arrival and relax. One can also visit Auli in the evening. overnight at hotel. ( breakfast and lunch ).
Day 7 - Joshimath - Haridwar Early morning we leave with packed breakfast from Joshimath for Haridwar. On the way visit Devprayag and Rishikesh. check in hotel on arrival. ( Breakfast and dinner).
Day 8 - Haridwar - Delhi After breakfast we visit Har ki pauri and then go to Chandi Devi by Cable car After lunch we proceed to Delhi. Tour ends on arrival. (Breakfast)
